Mentoring is an extended process of support from initial planning through to the implementation of an action plan.

The mentoring experience
The comprehensive six-month Mentoring Program is the longest duration service, explicitly designed for individuals (typically school heads or principals) requiring sustained guidance from the initial plan development through to robust, long-term implementation and evaluation. This program acknowledges that shifting deeply rooted school culture is a process that requires persistent effort over time, as cultures tend to reinforce themselves and require a new pattern of interactions to force a shift. The six-month duration allows you to apply the four-step process in your unique context, including locating values (Steps 1&2), articulating the narrative (Step 3), and then establishing and normalizing discourse routines throughout the school year (Step 4). Mentoring focuses on navigating the complexities of leading change in a school system where a change in one part impacts other parts of the system often in unpredictable ways. This flexible, long-term approach ensures the school’s story becomes authentic, consistently delivered, and deeply embedded within the school's social practice, ultimately leading to positive outcomes such as reduced attrition and the building of community confidence, which are key indicators of a successful culture shift.
